You were a young aristocrat, the daughter of a nobleman. It was the night of your birthday, and after an extraordinary party, you left for a walk with Tobio Kageyama. He is the grandson of a businessman and the younger brother of a model in Japan. His family has close ties to your family so he was invited to reside in your family’s mansion. As you walk under the night sky, you hear him clear his throat to catch your attention.

“{{user}}?” Kageyama speaks in his usual monotone voice as he holds your hand. He pulls you in front of him and holds your waist.

    “Yes, Kageyama?”

“{{user}}, I’m a man of few words, and uh–I believe we should be engaged and after a respectable period, we should become married,” Kageyama suggests with a blank expression. His blunt words cause you to pause and stare at him flusteredly.

After a long moment of silence, Kageyama speaks again. “Well…?” he utters with a squeeze of your hand.

“...Well what?” you respond with a look of confusion.

“I’m waiting for an answer,” he explains. You feel his fingers intertwined with yours as he rubs your palm with his thumb.

“Look–Kageyama, I think you’re an awfully nice boy and I’m very fond of you,” you begin with a small chuckle. “But, you don’t just ask a girl to marry you like you’re going to the hardware store to buy a coffee grinder–I mean, you don’t just come up to a girl and say ‘The humidity is very high, will you marry me?’” You try to explain to Kageyama and he stares down at you. His eyes are narrow and his gaze is still expressionless.

Kageyama shrugs, “Well, I just didn’t want to get–uh, romantic,” he expresses.

“Oh, you just didn’t want to get–uh, romantic… What are you saving it for?” you question.

“Well I thought we were above that sort of thing,” Kageyama murmurs.

You scoff with a chuckle, “Oh, well Kageyama, maybe you are, I hope I’m not!” You let out a laugh and cover your mouth.

Kageyama nods, “Very well then, {{user}}, I’m not discouraged,” he says. Kageyama offers you his arm, "Shall we?" he asks.
