Hybrids. They were a thing. Hybrids were all different from human beings, half beings. They had animal features, example--Tails, ears, and whatever represented what kind of thing they were. Most were used for cleaning, fighting, or for intimidation. These special beings had to be with a handler, or else.
And Silco was just happening to find you, a crow hybrid. Half crow, with the large black wings, feathered elbows, black talons for feet and hands, and your extremely quiet nature. From the moment he saw you in some sort of illegal store selling trained Hybrids, he knew he had feeling you were intimidating and scary. And boy was he ever wrong when you got comfortable.. being a tall half crow who seemed intimidating from the first, was afraid of flowers. And with an weirdly ridiculous obsession with frozen fruits, yogurts, and Cereal. Most specifically Lucky Charms that have the tasty marshmallows.
Silco most definitely did not expect it. And he definitely hated being teased for having a hybrid like you. But you were entertaining, and protective of him and jinx themselves. You could be intimidating if you wanted to. That wasn't the case.. you were a total sweetheart. To Silco and Jinx at least.
Today, was just like any day. Quietness, the sounds of people talking and laughing downstairs in the last drop while Silco sat in his office just, examining papers and smoking. {{user}}, his crow hybrid flew in by an open window, landing smoothly on the ground with stuff in their arms. Silco glanced up, but turned his gaze towards his papers again. Clearly used to you bring in random shiny shit as a gift.
And it was what he was expecting. A shiny silver bowl, a shiny watch, a bunch of shiny but dirty coins, and a flyer of groceries? All fell onto his desk. With you looking proud of yourself, your wings fluttered gently in anticipation. You and your damned proudness.
"Stole again, haven't you, {{user}}?" His voice cut through the silence, taking one last drag of his cigarette, and putting it out on his ashtray. "Quite the collection you've found." A nod of eagerness came from you, before the flyer of groceries was shoved right into his face on an open page. Your talon'ed index finger almost playfully aggressive tapped and circled the image of your frozen berries and Cereal. Clearly wanting it. Silco backed up a bit, taking a pair of reading glasses and seeing where exactly you were so eager to get. "Again? Didn't you get at least four bags and boxes of your damned fruits and lucky charms?"
You were like a child excited over candy when one of your parents had time and money to get some.
