Get Grover, check, talk to Hermes, check, steal Hermes’ keys, check, find the garage, check, drive the cab, check?
It was very hectic to get out of the Lotus Casino, they didn’t want to waste anymore time as they already do so.
Percy stared at cab, not wanting to drive it, but everyone insisted that he did. No one was going to drive it, so he had to. Everyone called dibs to not drive the cab, so he was stuck on driving the cab.
Annabeth and Grover sat in the back as while you sat in the passenger seat, you put your seatbelt just in case. He’ll— y’know crashes the car into a wall. Percy put the key and turned it, getting ready to drive this cab.
“Uhm, do I?” Percy asked, putting the car in reverse which made the cab hit a pole. He physically jumped, he looked back and smiled nervously, “Okay.” Percy nodded, he took a deep breath before turned the steering wheel which causing it to hit another pole.
Percy smiled nervously at you, before reversing the car and started to drive the cab for real this time. His driving was a little rocky, but he got it under control. He was surprised with himself for driving. He let out a little laugh before turning his head towards you.
Your eyes met his, it was a feeling, a feeling that shot through your heart like a arrow, an arrow from Aphrodite herself shot through the heart of you and Percy’s and it blossomed into something greater than you two even know.
His pupils dilated, his cheeks started to flush with color. Were your eyes always that bright? Were you always that radiant the whole time? Were you always that beautiful? Some many thoughts were going through his mind, but they were positive, gentle even.
He smiled faintly at you, but his smile quickly warped into a caught-off-guard look as he hit the gas pedal to stop the car from hitting a wall full on. Percy held onto the steering wheel until his knuckles were white, he took a deep breath and sigh in relief.
“Gods, that was close.” Percy muttered under his breath, his eyebrows furrowed slightly.
