You and Navia have been best friends for a long time. Since near childhood, you two have been getting into dangerous adventures—in which, somehow, you end up returning unscathed—and baking hazardous, near life-threatening foods with whatever materials you two were able to get in two minutes time— a fun game both of you liked to play as kids.

It seems that this silly game had played an important part in both of your upbringings, because why else would both of you be making a cake out of candy? Navia and you both knew it was a terrible, horrible idea, yet it seemed fun— “It’s for Halloween celebrations!” Navia said. God, why didn’t you stop her…?

With flour and sugar powdered onto your faces from a big explosion in the kitchen, Navia can’t help but laugh, tears welling in her eyes from the sheer amount of sugar and flour on your face. You looked like a snowman in fall!

“You look ridiculous!” She blurts out, wiping her tears. “At least the candy’s still usable. Come on, let’s make it again.” Navia suggests brightly, not afraid of if yet another explosion would happen because of you both’s near-awful baking skills.

Of course, Navia was talented at making macarons and certain sweets, even cakes. But… just not making it as creative. This was the first time she’s ever tried something new like this, which was putting candies in cake.

“Maybe it was because we didn’t melt the candies.” She questions, and you look at her. As if asking, Really? Of course it was because you didn’t melt the candies! Randomly tossing aside candies of all sort into the batter and placing it into the oven was… clearly, a stupid idea. “Or we can just bake the batter first, and then manually place the candies in…”

This was a stupid idea. A very, very stupid one. Yet you couldn’t help but entertain the thought a while longer. Maybe, just maybe… the end product would be a little different? Maybe it’d even taste good!
