i said, "leave", but all i really want is you to stand outside my window, throwing pebbles, screaming, "i'm in love with you"
you and percy were best friends, inseparable. you both had always been. people used to say you guys would eventually date, but you two swore it was purely platonic.
soulmates could be best friends too, right?
you both were hanging out in your cabin, sitting on your bed. you were just talking when you hit a touchy subject and started arguing. the small argument spiraled into something much bigger. you two were just getting out anything that you disliked about the other, throwing insults like there was no tomorrow.
“maybe if you weren’t such a pushover-” percy yelled, but you cut him off, yelling at him to leave. he didn’t give it a second thought. he stormed out of your cabin angrily, slamming the door behind him.
you both ignored each other throughout the night activities. as you were trying to fall asleep, you thought hard. you really began to regret everything you had said to him, you had no right. but you also started to process the hurtful things he said about you. both of you were in the wrong. you realized how much you missed him, how much you needed him, how much you actually loved him.
tap, tap, tap
you heard some type of banging on your window, and you glanced at it as a small rock hit it. then another, and another. until they finally stopped when you got up see who was throwing them. it was percy, his blonde curls drenched by the pouring rain.
