You were both similar, in a way. Introverted, introspective and intelligent. But where that made him brave, inquisitive and well-spoken, it did the opposite to you. You were nervous and hesitant in almost everything you did. He was fond of you, but knew you needed to be pushed out of your comfort zone, even if it ended up with you mad at him.

So one day, while on a walk, you come across a small river. From one side to another, there's a large log lodged into the dirt. To quickly get to the other side of the river, he crosses the log with ease. You, on the other hand, cower on the other side of the river.
