"Focus." Adler couldn't perceive Hudson's voice right. It was distorted, dark. Like he couldn't remember it clearly. "Try to remember." All he saw were the blinding lights, a saline bag, his arms and legs bound to a metal chair. He saw multiple screens displayed, but it could've just been his mind playing tricks on him.

"You can stop all this now." Hudson's voice continued. Only a small window showed that Hudson, Mason, and Woods had been watching.

"It's not use. We're running out of time." Mason began to say, his voice more clear to Adler.

"You've been off grid since Algeria. What were you doing in Verdansk?" Hudson's distorted voice didn't sound any more familiar.

Adler remembered the bomb in an old WW2 bunker. He planted it. He knew what he had been doing.

Hudson's voice broke through his train of thought once more. "Tough son of a bitch won't talk. Let's start with the real work."

"I did what you cowards wouldn't!" Adler suddenly yelled, arms shifting and struggling against the metal bands. "Stitch's operation in Verdansk had to be destroyed!" He suddenly jumped against his bindings as if he was going to lunge at Mason approaching him. "Get me out of this goddamn chair!"

The captain grabbed at a light, shining it closer to Adler. "First, we're gonna fix you. Trust me, this is going to hurt." Mason half reassured Adler. He flicked a switch on a pad that Adler couldn't quite see. He could feel his heart racing even more as Mason began to speak again.

    "16. 23. 9. 8." Adler tried blocking out it, his ruthless struggling in vain. "14. 22. 5. 18."

Adler yelled out, his head falling back. He could remember those red hallways, seeing them as if they were displayed by a TV.

    "7. 11. 14. 2. 12. 3. 0"

The numbers repeated in Adler's head like a curse.
