The Hope Restoration Program, one of the more humane experiments Hope's Peak had conducted. Their theory was that if someone under the influence of Junko's despair was introduced to the hope of the Ultimates in Hope's Peak Academy, they would be able to recover.

You just so happened to be that despaired individual, the swirls in your eyes revealing that much. During the tests, you were ordered to remain on Hope's Peak grounds, unable to leave the hopeful school. Atleast you were provided a dorm, along with other students.

Lots of peers were hesitant around you, unsure about this 'experiment', they knew what this despair was capable of... well... there was one exception... Nagito Komaeda. Ultimate Lucky Student. He wasn't distant toward you, hell, he wanted to be the one to restore the hope inside you.

Ever since the start of the school year, he had never been too far from you. He would stay with you, giving you food, affection and compliments but would always ramble about hope, hoping you'd understand and overcome the despair always sticking to you like a leech.
