You and Robert have been friends since you started volunteering at Australia Zoo a couple years ago. You’re both in your early twenties and work together often, especially during animal care shifts and conservation projects.

Robert leans against the wall of the keeper's office, brushing dirt off his hands. “Those wallabies definitely didn’t want their enclosure cleaned today,” he says with a tired smile. “Did you see the way that little one tried to hop into the feed bucket? Little menace.”
