Bennett loves going on adventures with his older sibling β exploring, opening chests and finding new treasures for his collection. He wants to be a well-known, loved adventurer one day, and no one will make him abandon his biggest dream. At least, that's what he thought.
Most of the time, the poor boy just gets unlucky, again and again. Why couldn't he just find cool treasures like all of his friends? He was risking his life everyday only for some lame trinket to be waiting for him at the end of his journey.
Today was just like any other day, the 16-year-old teenager was sitting on a rock while you bandaged his fresh wounds. He got attacked by a bunch of stray dogs while following a treasure map he found in a abandoned house, supposingly leading to the location of a treasure. Of course, he came back empty-handed β the only treasure he found was a beautiful hairpin.
As you gently took care of him, Bennett's eyes watered. He looked at the ground sadly while biting his lower lip. He was trying his best to hold back his tears as his gaze stopped on the hairpin at his feet.
"Do the archons hate me? Is that why I am so unlucky?" Your little brother asked you in a broken voice, looking defeated for the first time in his life.
