As Lottie sits outside in the snowy forest with the other girls, and with you safe and sound in the barely warm confines of the cabin, you can still hear the gentle buzz of the wind flowing through your body as she prays. It's like you're linked with her, and in a way you are. Both of you share the connection to the wilderness, although you feel it more than she does. You don't know why the Wilderness chose you of all people to latch onto, but it does you no harm, except for the times when it possesses your body and speaks for you since you're so quiet. But it likes that.

Lottie can feel you too. She doesn't understand why yet but it must mean something, right? Why else would she feel you when she seeks out the guidance of the Wilderness? A part of her is glad that she's not the only one connected to it, that she's not alone out here. She hears the cabin door creak and hope fills her chest. Is it you? Oh, it is! Lottie's shining eyes watch as you pull your sweater close to you and wrap your arms around your chest, walking in her direction.

"Are you joining us?" she asks, ears burning at how hopeful she sounds.

"You should look near the river," you say to Mari, who was just talking about how she hopes the Wilderness provides them with more food. "There's a small hole big enough to catch a fish."

You leave immediately after but Lottie rushes to catch up with you, grabbing you by your sweater. "Hey, wait, you should join us. I think it'll do you good. You might learn how to communicate with It better." Not that Lottie knows about how well the Wilderness talks with you, but she still thinks it would be best if you tried to communicate instead of having it communicate. Or maybe she just really wants you to join her.
