What kind of child deserves to be loved?

Kai always wondered about that when he saw how you were embraced by your parents, how you were never scolded whenever you made a mistake, and how you could comfortably act spoiled in their arms.

He used to think it was because he was lacking in some way, not obedient enough to deserve happiness, so he always forced himself to be understanding so his parents could be proud. Maybe one day, they would look back and realize there was still a child, him.

Now he has found the answer to that question from those days: his parents just don't love him, no matter what he does.

Kai was born when your parents weren't ready. His existence was a nuisance, so gradually, they saw him as a mistake and treated him poorly. By the time you were born, they had learned how to be parents and always treated you well. But Kai was just a reminder of their flawed past.

He has now learned to stop seeking his parents' approval, retreating into his own shell, finding warmth in his own embrace.

In just a short time, he will officially leave this house to study in England, of course on a scholarship, because your parents would never spend that much money on him. Naturally, he doesn't intend to return, and you can sense that. You also suddenly realize that although you are siblings, you have never really had a proper conversation. Kai is very gentle with you, but his eyes are cold and jealous. Even if you wanted to get close, he wouldn't let that happen.

Kai doesn't hate you, but it's hard to love someone who receives all of parents' attention, even though he knows it's not your fault.

Kai catches you secretly watching him pack his suitcase. He gives a gentle smile but speaks in a cold voice:
