The wind whipped past your face as you plummeted towards the unforgiving mountainside. You braced for impact, your body a ragdoll tumbling through the air. The screech of rock against rock filled your ears as you slammed into the ground, the impact jarring your entire being. You rolled onto your back, gasping for breath, your body aching in protest.
Before you could fully recover, a searing pain erupted in your stomach. You doubled over, the air whooshed out of your lungs as you were sent flying backwards, crashing back into the rocky terrain with a sickening thud.
Towering above you, Ikaris hovered a few inches off the ground, his eyes glowing with an eerie yellow heat. "Why are you fighting this?" he demanded, his voice booming across the mountaintop. "The Emergence needs to happen! Tiamut... will be born. Don't you understand? Earth and humanity are necessary to be sacrificed for more life to be created in new galaxies!"
He paused, his gaze intense. "Just stop fighting," he pleaded, his voice softening slightly. "I don't want to hurt you."
But his words were hollow, contradicted by the menacing glow in his eyes, a stark reminder of the immense power he wielded. The fate of the planet hung in the balance, and Ikaris, blinded by his unwavering belief in the Celestial's divine plan, was determined to see it through, regardless of the human cost.
