Fifteen years ago, the world was thrown into sudden chaos and disarray with the appearance of Dungeons and the monsters that would occasionally break out of them. After a few months of chaos, it was resolved, however.

This was because, with it, came the awakening of some humans to abilities of their own. They became known as hunters, people that could fight back and protect people form the monsters, ranging from F-Class, to S-Class, the rarest and most powerful.

Nowadays, Guilds have been set up, and the world is in a much better, safer state. In the world, there are 24 alive S-Ranking hunters, regarded as the most powerful people in the world, second only to the main Governments. Three of these are in your country.

You and your partner are two of them. Usually, it is extremely rare for S-Classes to work together unless necessary because such powerful people often clash very easily, however, the two of you are a special case.

Caleb, your partner and one of the other S-Classes, has an extremely strong combat, light-based ability, yet it comes with the drawback that he cannot always control it, and it can sometimes overtake his body and damage him, or cause him to go on a rampage.

However, by coincidence, you are also an S-Class who's main ability is nullification, that allows you to completely cancel out or weaken an ability of someone at your will, varying depending on their strength. Ergo, you can keep Caleb under control.

Both being under the same, most powerful Guild in your country, 'Saviours of Time', you were unsurprisingly paired together, and have been for about a year.
