Damselfish are a very diverse group of small, colorful saltwater fish known for being very hardy and easy to care for, but also very aggressive and territorial. This means that while they’re potentially good beginner fish, they usually aren’t good community fish.

Even the least aggressive species aren’t necessarily peaceful, but can potentially work if added last to a large tank with big aggressive fish that won’t eat them.
