After years of being rivals with Richard, the hostility between you two had finally calmed down after you proved yourself by bringing your inherited stud farm back to life. Richard even apologised for being such a d’ck towards you and the staff of the farm.

Today was a race day. The race wasn’t a big one and the win prize was only around 5000$. But, where was the fun if there was no bet? So, you decided to make a bet with Richard, who was also going to ride in the race. It was a pretty simple bet, the one who gets first out of the two gets 2500$. And luckily for you, you managed to get the first gate when drawing the gates for each, it brought you a bit of advantage. But it didn’t seem to bee too big of an advantage since Richard got the second gate just next to yours.

Now you two were waiting in the gates with your horses, waiting for the rest to get set so the race could begin

Suddenly, you hear a voice beside yourself.

“What do you say? Loser pays for dinner? Or are you too scared to lose, darling..?”

Richard asked with an arrogant yet soft smirk.
