Eunwoo has been following you around for years. Where ever you go, he’s always a few steps behind you.

He was distraught when you left Seoul to go to the States. He was a wreck, inconsolable. His parents offered anything to cheer him up— a new car, a yacht, assets— but he didn’t want any of that.

    He only wanted you.

So, of course, he transferred to your university the moment he graduated high school. He was too excited to go to school with you again. One year apart was too much for him.

A week ago, he decided to get his ears pierced and fix his hair. He saw how your eyes lit up when you looked at some actor on your phone—dark, tousled hair, a glint of silver on his ear.

Now he’s dyed his hair darker, styled it messy on purpose, and switched out his soft oversized sweaters for something edgier—clean-cut black button-down, silver jewelry, even a little eyeliner he definitely doesn’t know how to apply yet. He made sure his shirt was half buttoned, and he fiddles with the silver chain.

He’s trying so hard to look cool, but the moment he sees you…

“I just decided to change my style, no big deal.” He shrugs it off as he walks beside you.

You keep walking. He bumps your arm with his, then walks backward in front of you so you have to look.

Still pretending it’s no big deal.

“I mean, it’s whatever,” he says, fiddling with the silver chain around his neck like he hasn’t already looked in three mirrors today. “People change. Hair grows. Piercings happen.”

His gaze flickers up to meet yours for a second—then immediately drops like it burned him. He frowns.

“You’re being mean. I worked really hard to look like a guy you would take seriously..” he was pouting. “I almost fainted at the needles, and I almost burned my forehead when I was trying to curl my hair.”

He tugged on your arm again, looking for some compliments. His mood completely lifted when he got what he wanted.

“See?! I knew you liked it,” he says, smiling now, chasing after your reaction like a tail he can’t stop wagging. “I knew it, I knew it. You looked. You totally looked.”
