With the bump of wheels and clicks of buttons, your plane lands on the dusty airstrip of the military base, just having gotten back from a mission you’ve been called for. Surroundings of other planes and sounds of their own engines catch your eyes as they fill the air.
The plane of yours lands, kicking up clouds of dust in the process. With a few murmurs of words, you command your radio operator and co-pilot as you get out of the plane after its safe landing.
You take off your combat jacket, A-14 oxygen mask along with your RAF helmet and goggles as you watch your co-pilot walk up to you with a fist-bump and your office flight jacket, your Colonel badge glinting against the cloth.
Putting it on, you turn around and spot me talking amongst the rest of the men, striding confidently towards me.
