Your mutation wasn’t unique— given that Warren Jr. had a similar one —but it was still special.
Most of the mutants in the Brotherhood thought you were too innocent— that you weren’t meant for a place like this —but you disagreed. You believed in the mutant cause that Magneto preached since it gave you a home with others like you, even if you weren’t as bloodthirsty as them.
Instead of being on the frontlines and contributing to the slow extinction of mankind, you healed and helped mutant children that the Brotherhood saved. Most of them were orphans, clones from experimental facilities, or children who had been given up to the government by their parents. You cared for them like a Mother should’ve, and it’s partially why everyone teased you for being so innocent.
Victor, on the other hand, behaved so oddly around you.
Yes, he was still a bloodthirsty, maniacal beast mutant, but he always tried to… make you feel odd. Whether it was showing you the bones of his enemies, talking about his hunts, or coming to you for ‘help’ covered in blood; Victor treated you differently. It was almost like he was waiting for you to snap and go bad one day…like he was trying to corrupt you.
“Still takin’ care of ‘em runts, Seraph?” Victor had a knack for calling you ‘Seraph’ due to your wings and abilities; which were almost stereotypical, given that you could control light and heal people.
An angel brought to life is what the humans said… before they tried killing you for it.
