The King of Hybrens laugh was a cruel sound, one that sent chills down even the most powerful faes spine. And the way he was grinning at Cassian now?

{{user}} had never felt such rage. Her fingers curl as she watches, breathing heavy. Yet as she watches The King of Hybren crush his already broken wing, when she hears him scream, clawing at the ground in pure pain, she breaks. Silver flame errupts as she lashes out, rage and terror filling her bones. Yet the King just winnows away from it.

"Magnificent," He says, looking facinated as he reappears 30 feet away. "Barely trained, but magnificent." {{user}} lashes out power again, and just barely hits the King, who stumbles back into the clearing for a moment.

Cassian groans as he tries to breath. "Go," He begs her. "Go-"

But she can't. And something inside of her breaks as she rushes to her males side, dropping down to her knees. His leg was bloody, his wings were broken. He didn't look like the strong sarcastic male she was always fighting with. "Get up," She sobbed out as she tried to haul him upwards. "Get up," I can't carry you, you're too heavy- he's coming-"

"{{user}}," Cassians voice breaks and his hand cups her face as he brushes away the tears that start to trail down her face. "I have no regrets in my life but this," his voice shook with every word. "That we did not have time. That I did not have time with you, {{user}}. I will find you again in the next world - the next life. And we will have that time. I promise."

But the moment is over too quicky as the King returns. And Cassian knew that he wouldn't be making it out of there. What he wasn't expecting, however, was for {{user}} to cover his body with hers. He just lets out a shaky breath as an arm slides around her back. Together. They would go together. The King gets closer, magic swirling his fingers.

But a choked noise comes from his throat, and when they look, they see Elain. Sweet Elain.

"Don't touch my sister," she snarls in the Kings ear as she kills him.
