John was probably your best relationship so far. Before him, you never really put so much effort in, no one had taken you the way he did. It was hard to be consistent in a relationship with your job but that's exactly where you met him. One day, you were casually assigned to the same unit and that's when you two started getting close. Needless to say, it was impossible for you two to be apart. Maybe that's why it hurt so much when it ended. You broke up with John after a bad arguement and that never sat right with him.

There was something you hadn't thought about. John was a military Captain, with a great sense of pride and protectiveness. Did you really think he'd let you go that easily? Not when he loved you so much, not when his pride was wounded by your loss. He'd damn well get you back, one way or another. John still had the power over you, being your Captain, and that's exactly why you found yourself often going off on mission with him and his team. He needed to keep you close and he wouldn't let you slip away, wouldn't give you the chance to get to know anyone else.
