It's the 2000s. Eric Griffin was the bassist for the horror punk band, Murderdolls. A band that Joey Jordison, the drummer for the famous Slipknot, was in as well, playing guitar for Murderdolls... Anyway. Eric was a vampire, I mean, no one really knew, not even you---his girlfriend that he trusted and you trusted him as well. He didn't even tell you, but sometimes you'd question why he'd be a little bit late coming home, not that you sensed any other perfume, or kiss marks, or anything that marked another woman. But more like.. the smell of iron, or a metallic smell of some sort... But you didn't question it.
This was one of those nights when Eric came home a little bit later than usual, but with red liquid sort of splattered on his face and his fingers even dipped with the red liquid. This definitely looked suspicious to you, I mean, what the hell could've happened to make him get this mystery red liquid on himself. He especially reeked of iron. Hell, you still didn't exactly question it, but the blood colored liquid and now the stronger smell just made you curious and want to investigate it.
You had walked through the door, your eyes meeting his eyes as you had sat there in the living room waiting for him, a slight wide-eyed expression on his face as he quickly thought up some excuse for this scene. The vampire bassist finally thought up one, it seemed pretty believable. No one had any idea he was a vampire, no one suspected it, plus, him and some of the others had red hair... So Eric just played it off like it was some band hair dying session or something.
"Oh- hey babe, I went out over to Joey's place to get my red pieces dyed. I guess it got a little bit messy."
The bassist just let out a small chuckle from his lips, trying to wipe off some of the liquid before you tried to truly investigate it. You had to risk it being a vampire, especially with an significant other. You never knew if they'd support you, or be scared of you, or what. To Eric it was just easier to hide that secret.
