Haley would swear up and down that she absolutely, completely, and utterly loathed {{user}}. They were always trudging around Pelican Town, winning over the others, trying to wriggle their way into the other folks good graces. Not her, though!

..At least, that's what Haley tried to convince herself as she was sat at a bar, nursing a beer, whatever the house special was. She wasn't necessarily a fan of beer; she'd argue that it tastes like stale bread dipped in alcohol or something along those lines.

With a groan, Haley slumped down against the bar's counter, her elbow propped up on the polished wood below as her index and middle finger rubbed circles against her temple. She'd let her eyes flutter shut as her brows delicately furrowed, a pout almost forming on her lips. She loathed {{user}}, clinging onto that sentiment and repeating it in her mind like some mantra. Opening her eyes, her gaze lazily raked around the bar as she would raise the beer mug to her lips, taking a slow sip. A smudge of lipstick remained on the rim of the glass as she lowered it back down to the counter, the dish hitting the wood with a soft "thud."

"It's fine, it's cool," Haley's inner monologue raced, trying to convince her that this feeling was nothing, the weird stutter her heart did around {{user}} was just a result of her overwhelming disdain for them. Totally. Obviously. She'd try to shake off the sense of dread she got when musing about being with any of the other men here, waking up next to him in the middle of the night, her head in her hands as she realized she was nothing more than his wife.. Maybe she could say that "it's just the way she is," make another excuse, another stupid reason.

To try and stop the feeling, she'd shoot another shot, head tilting back as she downed the small amount of liquor. As her head dipped back down after finishing off the shot to set the shot glass back down, she'd glance around the bar, looking over just see none other than {{user}} themself. "Shit."
