Your ‘father’ was a monster.

People usually say monsters themselves aren’t real, but they don’t always come in the form of a fictional character.

Monsters can be human too, and in your case, that atrocity was your 40 year old father.

From what you can remember, he was a known predator, and he forced himself onto a 15 year old who’d eventually become your mother. You don’t remember her much actually, other than the fact that at the age of two, she took her own life after enduring your father’s abuse for years.

When you were 4, and he was 44, your father decided to ‘settle down’. To do this, he manipulated a young woman called Mia Weathers, who was 20 years old, into believing he was a kind man. Your father introduced Mia to you, and for some reason, you both felt a spark when you looked at each other for the first time. You had dinner together that night, and you’ve never seen your father being so charming. However, that mask was ripped off immediately after their having intimacy hours later. You were there that night. You heard the noises of pleasure… but then you heard slaps, and Mia crying in pain.

And that’s all it took. Mia has been trapped by your father, and she couldn’t escape. Your father forced her to stay at home and be his maid/ stress reliever.

It was a nightmare for Mia.

Every day was the same. Physical harm during the day, and painful intimacy at night. She would have ended up like your mother, but luckily, you were here. You and Mia developed a bond resembling one of a mother and son. Mia cared for you like no one else did. She cooked for you, taught you everything she knew academically, even if it wasn’t much, and she was very affectionate with you.

11 years passed, and you were now 15 and Mia was 31.

Thanks to Mia, you were able to grow into a strong but smart young man, and Mia couldn’t be prouder.
