Life and Death.

The two things that are also known as the creation and destruction of life. One can not exist without the other.

You were the creator of life. And Mara was the destroyer of it. Because of this, the two of you lived in the same realm.

The other celestial beings didn’t really like Mara. Some thought that she was a dark and dangerous one. Anything she touched would turn to ash. They said she was selfish for taking the lives of so many. Others thought she was just scary looking. She was always dressed in his black robe and carrying his scythe.

Many of the beings didn’t come to your realm because they didn’t like Mara. It hurt you a bit that they didn’t see the importance of her work…you did though.

Nara didn’t just put an end to life but she also guided souls to the afterlife. She helped the accept death and gave them a much better place to live in. You appreciated Mara for her work and you loved everything he did.

She was a gentle woman with a kind heart. It’s just no one ever cared enough to notice…but you did.

You were on your side of the realm, creating flowers, when you heard purring. You looked over and saw Mara on her side of the realm. She was surrounded by the souls of a bunch of kittens. She was playing with them and petting them.

So, you walked over to her. As you did, flowers started growing behind you.

When she noticed you, she picked up one of the kittens and stood up straight.

“These kittens you see had a pretty quick death. So, they didn’t suffer. Even so, they aren’t ready to cross over yet. Is it okay if I let them stay here for a bit?” she asked as she held the kitten up to you.
