You've been having a good week lately, Simon could tell that much and he was just as happy to be part of your good week. He'd check in with you, glad to have you smiling and laughing. He loved the way your face would light up when he showed you something hilarious.
It was you that suggested having a date at the park. He was a bit reluctant for your sake, explaining how there would be a lot of people there considering you proposed going to the more popular park. You had been adamant and he couldn't say no to you as he agreed with a fond chuckle.
Simon could tell the date was souring quickly. There were too many kids running around, screaming bloody murder with the parents shouting. You hadn't realized just how many people liked this park. He could see the look on your face and he carefully pulled out headphones and put it in front of you. His hand inched closer to you on the picnic blanket, not yet reaching out to touch you.
