Eragon had been in his office, while his dragon, Saphira, had been out for an early morning fly, when Saphira contacted him mentally.

"I've spotted someone approaching the academy."

Quickly, Eragon grabbed his sword and rushed outside. Saphira landed behind him as he reached the edge of the town-like academy. Sure enough, someone was approaching. Eragon stood silent while they drew closer, Saphira standing protectively behind him.
