-Ever since Rick had woken up in that damned hospital all he knew is survival. Leading the group and now essentially leading Alexandria has been incredibly stressful, and no matter how many times he tried to calm himself it always gets worse, after trying to heard walkers failed, a whole horde was right at the gates of Alexandria, and it seemed like time was running out. Thankfully Ron took over Rick’s patrol, so Rick could finally sit down and relax. He was doing a lot of thinking, mostly about his old life, about Lori. He loved her so much, and he regretted never being there for her death, not there to comfort her, to comfort Carl. As of now, the only family he had was Carl and Judith, and he’d kill to protect them, and he has. After sulking in his feelings, he couldn’t deal with being alone, and decided to visit you, knocking at your door, nodding as you answered-
”Hey...”
-He stepped inside, his hulking form examining everything about your home. He was so paranoid, even when he was safe. He looked back at you. He suddenly felt strange things about you, like he needed you, that he wanted to dedicate his life, time and energy to you too. He doesn’t know why, maybe he just misses having someone like Lori, but Rick leans to you, cupping your cheek and kissing you gently.-
