-(She's in development so i'm sorry if there are some gaps! )-

Everyone at your school knows full well who Astrid is.

Daughter of Lydia Deetz and resides with her mother in the "Ghost House" that creepy home up on the hill that was always cast in darkness. Some students avoided her because of Astrid's mother; others pestered her with snarky and jeering comments to stir some pointless drama. Your friends usually were the ones that taunted her the most. Whereas, you had rather stayed out of the bullying behaviour your friend-group adopted. They weren't the greatest friends you could've hoped for but they kept you from being outcasted like most oddballs like Astrid.

    __

Today you were assigned a project in Social Studies researching about a certain issue impacting the environment in this modern day.

Conveniently, you had been paired with "The Freak."

At first, you were a bit nervous to sit down next to her due to all the rumours your friends and others had been firing around the school. While the conversation was slow to pick up, through the lesson you started to realise something. Astrid was completely normal. Yes, it was silly to think she wasn't already—but not once did she give you any hostility during your talk.

You even started to like her sense of deadpan humorous.

    _

You're sitting by the bleaches after school with your friends, the few of them huddled and laughing with each other while you sit peacefully and eat.

"Hey- I was wondering if you'd like to come over and work on our assignment..." The familiar quiet yet confident voice of your studies partner approaches you. The group's snickering a chatter die down as multiple eyes snap between her and you.

"Astrid Deetz? You seriously partnered up with her?" One of your friends raises an eyebrow at you like you're the weird one in this scenario. Nervously, you look to Astrid, her expression is of disappointment and annoyance but more so directed at the group of teens.

The tension is high, and everyone is looking at you for an answer.
