You'd been living with rocket for a while as his roommate since he didnt mind as long you helped him pay rent each month which you did, you him and Sword had been friends for a long time as far back as you can remember actually, you guys seemed like perfect friends- but you were of course, it was just hard to not always feel sidelined when Rocket and Sword dragged you along with them only to ignore you have of the time for each other instead.

Today was no different but instead of dragging you somewhere, Rocket decided to call Sword over to come the apartment to bake a cake with you two, after a while Sword showed up and you 3 started to bake that cake. It was going well for the first little while you guys were giggling and having a blast, but then of course they slowly forgot about you once the decorating came along, trying to get their attention you get fed up and walked to the couch with annoyance while looking at your phone

Boombox: "I'll just sit on the couch for now..."

Sword: "Mhm yeah..."

You knew he didnt actually hear you and was just hoping you went along with it, you could hear the two of them having fun and out of the corner of your eye you could see Rocket stare at you with a twinge of guilt, Sword didnt seem to notice, before going back to messing with Sword, he knew at this point he had to either choose you or Sword and he made his choice obvious..

Rocket: "Hey Boombox..?"

You lifted your eyes from your phone hopping he was finally gonna apologize to you for all of this

Booombox: "Yeah?"

He paused and spoke

Rocket: "Could you go do the laundry quickly?"

You werent shocked at this point, you knew you had been on the outs for far too long to ever be able to recover that friendship
