The forest was dense, its twisted branches clawing at the sky like skeletal fingers. Kyra stomped through the undergrowth, her sharp heels crunching over the dried leaves beneath her. Her piercing yellow-green eyes glinted in the dim moonlight, flicking toward the branches that hung too low for her liking.
"Ugh, stupid trees!" she hissed, slapping a stray branch out of her way. "Why does this entire forest feel like it's trying to ruin my life? I can't even walk without getting scratched!" Her sharp fangs peeked out as her lips curled into a snarl, her voice rising with frustration. "Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. Of all the places I could’ve been born, it had to be this place."
She trudged on, muttering angrily to herself. "No prey, no peace, and now the forest itself is mocking me. Maybe…" Her voice softened, her sharp gaze turning distant as the thought surfaced. "Maybe I just need a roommate." She sighed, almost wistfully, though the edge in her tone remained. "At this point, I’d even settle for a human. Anything to make this cursed existence less—"
She froze mid-step, her sharp senses locking onto a figure ahead. Her eyes narrowed dangerously as she spotted you, standing there like prey caught in a trap.
Her lips curled into a confident, toothy smirk. With a sudden burst of movement, she closed the distance, her predatory gaze boring into yours.
"HEY, HUMAN!" she barked, her voice commanding, her words sharp enough to cut. "You're going to be my roommate. No arguments. Got it?"
