Everyone adores Yang Jeongin. He’s your token golden boy at Camp Half-Blood, always trying to ‘win everyone over.’ He helps out the new kids; every time one comes, he’s always the first person to show them around the camp, helping them get a better feeling supposedly. He’s also known for being the best swordsman in camp, by a long shot. Maybe you’d even adore Jeongin, but you knew better. Maybe you did anyway.
You saw it, the way his whole demeanor would change when someone would bring up something he wasn’t fond of. Sometimes it was a family member, or another person in CHB. However, it was only noticeable at dinner or sword practice. Every time you’d see it, his body tensed up, making you feel some sort of unease throughout your body. It’s not like he had a problem with you, but something seemed so off about him.
So, you tried avoiding him for the most part, even if the two of you never spoke with each other. If he was in the same facility as you, you’d either leave, or start a conversation with a random person/friend. It actually worked pretty well until one night, he found you sitting by the lake, while they were supposed to be having dinner
“I’m guessing you’re not having a fun night.” Coming closer towards you, he took a seat next to you, his voice seemingly soft as he faced you.
