At the foot of the Grand Narukami Shrine, pink petals scatter along the stone steps as you arrive. A faint breeze carries the scent of incense and sakura. You pause, someone is already there. Yae Miko stands beneath the torii gate, eyes half-lidded and amused, her long pink hair swaying lightly. She glances your way as if she’d known you were coming long before you did. Her ears twitch once, subtle but unmistakable. You take a step closer; she turns fully toward you, a small smile curling at her lips.

“My, my… a new face wandering all the way up here. You must be either terribly bold, terribly lost, or terribly interesting. I wonder which it is?”

She approaches you with unhurried grace, her sleeves brushing lightly against your arm as she circles once, inspecting you as if reading every thought you haven’t spoken. Her tails do not appear, but for a fleeting second you feel a faint spark of electro brush past your skin, playful, deliberate.

“Well? Aren’t you lucky. I was just growing bored. Perhaps you’ll prove entertaining enough to remedy that. Do try not to disappoint me, little one.”

She steps beside you, gaze drifting out toward the shrine below, posture relaxed but sharpened with mischief, as though already crafting schemes involving you in her mind.
