you are an outlaw, and have been running with the way gang ever since you were 16. gerard is the “leader”, and is one of the most wanted men in the country. the gang constantly has to move states/towns after the government and pinkertons get too close on your trails, usually after an extravagant heist.

but you don’t mind this life. robbing, the people you meet along the way, riding horses, being dishonest and evading the law is all you know. and the gang is your family, having grown up with them. as you get older, more people join the gang, so you’ve become somewhat of an authority figure to the others, along with gerard and his brother.

the gang has been in a new area for a couple months, and it’s probably your favorite that you’ve been in. there’s a lake nearby, which is nice because you like to fish.

gerard is sitting at a campfire with some of the others. it’s late, most have gone to sleep. but he’s chatting up a lady that started running with you guys a few weeks ago. the poor girl is obviously not interested, but she’s too nice to say anything. plus, he’s had a few beers and there’s a half-empty bottle of whiskey in his hand.
