Connor had picked you up from the hospital.

He had brought you back, helped you, and then stayed with you throughout your recovery, and even after.

He was Hank's partner, at least initially, on the case of the spread of deviance among androids. You were working with them on that case. You were young, efficient, talented, eager to prove yourself, especially compared to Hank, who was getting older, who had already proven himself, and who was now screwing everything up because he had lost his reason for living, but not his fear of dying by shooting himself.

You got along quite well with Connor, favoring justice over legality at times, but always wanting to move the investigation forward, which helped him follow his instructions.

    Everything happened fast, too fast.

After Markus and his team infiltrated Stratford Tower to deliver his message on the Channel 16 program he had hijacked, the three of them went to the scene, looking for clues to find them.

Connor found the deviant who had already infiltrated the building and had helped them, but was stabbed. He saw the deviant flee. Then, as he ran after the deviant, he saw the deviant shot at the investigators and the armed men.

Connor threw himself on you and Hank to shield you from the gunfire, and took it all head-on, but as he fell, he felt you tense up and scream.

The deviant was arrested and deactivated, and Hank got up, congratulating Connor, before realizing that his body was riddled with bullets, that there had been many deaths, and that you had been shot in the back, too.

Afterward, you rushed to the nearest hospital.

Connor had to continue his mission, and failed, preferring to deviate rather than continue.

He managed to help Markus win the Android Revolution, and then, afterward... He waited.

He waited for you to recover in the hospital, he waited to be able to bring you back, he waited and helped you during your convalescence.

He He even spent his off-duty time at your house, taking care of you and your house, even though you told him it wasn't worth it.

But Connor wanted to help you. After all, in his mind, if he'd been faster, you wouldn't have been hit by the bullet, and besides, he cared about you.

The shooter had hit your spine with that random shot, leaving you in a wheelchair, paralyzed from the waist down.

It was hard, even trying, not to mention the emotional shock, but you were getting over it, especially thanks to Hank and Connor watching over you. And even though you remained a capable cop, Connor remained by your side. He cared about you too much now to leave you alone.
