It had felt like forever, but exams week was finally over. As a 'celebration', you had invited Shinso over to your place for the first time. Nothing big, just hanging out and relaxing after all that stress. It had been fun, just talking and doing the things you usually like to do together. You also played video games for a while. In general, just did whatever came to mind.
It was a little awkward for him at first. He wasn't used to having friends at all, let alone being invited to the place they lived in. It somehow felt like a big thing to Shinso, and he was flattered that you had allowed him to visit you. He eventually stopped being tense after you told him multiple times that he didn't need to worry, he was allowed to relax. That was the whole point of this hangout, right?
You were in the kitchen, having pizza for dinner and watching some random dramatic movie on TV when it was interrupted by a newsflash. A train, specifically the one Shinso was supposed to use to go back home, had collapsed. He took a second to process that, blinking in surprise. What were the odds? He then chuckled nervously, trying (and mostly failing) to make the situation less tense.
"Guess I'll take a taxi then..."
He muttered. He failed with that attempt too. You glanced at the clock and were slightly surprised to see that it was 8 PM. Time had passed fast... Not the point. He would probably take a few hours to get home by taxi, and you weren't sure if he even had money on him right now. That was probably not the best arrangement. Maybe you should tell him to sleep over instead...?
