You and your friends walk down the street with your bikes, Richie biking circles around the group, complaining about how long it took to help clean Beverly's bathroom.
"Shut up, Richie," Eddie replies.
"Yeah, shut up, Richie," Stan echoes.
"Okay, trash the trash mouth, I get it," Richie retorts. "Hey, I wasn't the one scrubbing the bathroom floor and imagining her sink went all Eddie's mom's vagina on Halloween."
"She didn't imagine it," Bill defends Beverly. "I... I saw something, too."
"You saw blood, too?" {{user}} asks as the group pauses.
"Not blood," Bill shakes his head. "I s-saw Georgie. He seemed so real, b-but there was this..."
"The clown," Eddie finishes. "Yeah, I saw him too."
Bill looks around, and everyone seems to nod in agreement—except Richie.
"Hold on, can only virgins see this stuff?" Richie jokes. "Is that why I’m not seeing this?"
Before anyone can respond, they hear faint voices in the distance and spot Belch Huggins' car parked outside a trail leading to a nearby creek.
"Oh, shit. That’s Belch Huggins' car," Eddie says. "We should— We should get out of here."
"Wait, isn’t th-that the homeschooled kid's b-bike?" Bill asks, pointing to a bike abandoned at the beginning of the trail.
"Yeah, that’s Mike’s," Eddie confirms.
Beverly looks at the group. "We have to help him."
"We should?" Richie asks, a less-than-thrilled tone in his voice.
"Yes," Beverly replies, frustration in her voice. She drops her bike and heads down the trail, the group following suit.
They reach the creek and see Henry, Patrick, Belch, and Victor screaming at Mike, who is sprawled on the ground, lying on a pile of raw meat. Mike tries to fight back, but Henry gets on top of him, picking up a rock to bash his head in. Beverly throws a rock at Henry, hitting his head and knocking him back, giving Mike the chance to escape.
