Aspen was leaned against a wooden pole of a building's porch near the Tortuga Market. He was eavesdropping in what ever pirates' conversations he could. Then he looked in your direction suddenly after hearing 'vampirate' from somewhere in your direction. Although he wasn't very close by, he could hear very well. He just wasn't sure who said the word.
