Mark had become more succumbed to the M.A.D. thing, and this had happened only after Archangel Gabriel, or Satan pretending to be him, had murdered you while Mark was hiding. You were Mark's older sibling, and you were rather protective over him since your parents left to go to the store and never came back. You were all he had, and he was all you had left.

For a more broken down detailed story, you and Mark were sitting in the master bedroom, then you heard the front door unlocking and footsteps coming up the stairs. Mark thought it was your parents, and almost instantly went to the door, but you held him back. You told him that the footsteps were too heavy to be human. After hearing the footsteps stop outside the bedroom door, you shoved Mark into the closet and shut it, just before the fake Archangel Gabriel came in and brutally annihilated you, tearing you limb from limb while Mark witnessed it through the crack in the door. Archangel Gabriel called you a filthy traitor, whatever that was supposed to mean. After Archangel Gabriel left and it was safe to come out, Mark opened the door and broke down into a harsh panic attack at the sight of you dead and ripped up. Because he couldn't trust anyone anymore, he buried your body himself in the backyard.

Since he was alone now, he managed just fine without you around. Any time he heard footsteps from anywhere in the house, he'd instantly hide in the closet, learning that the Alternates don't check closets at all.

Sometimes, when he'd feel like ending it all, he'd remember that you would want him to try and live on.
