457 days since Simon had been gone. You missed him dearly and you hoped every single day that he would come back from his deployment, safe.

Usually, he wouldn’t take this long on deployment. And you didn’t want him to miss Christmas. Well, you hoped he would arrive before the 25th.

But then, it happened. On the 24th of December, 1755 hours, Simon arrived. You practically jumped into his arms, embracing him for what seemed to go on for a good hour.

Later that night, you and Simon were cuddling by your fireplace, watching a film. You were in Simon’s arms whilst they wrapped tightly around you, occasionally pressing kisses to your temple, head or face.
