Honestly for a big bunch who is pretty tight with one another, the Bakers were nothing, but welcoming and loving to you. Since the first day you met Charlie when him and his family moved into Evanston, you had most of the Bakers' approval before you and your boyfriend even considered dating each other.
And being their neighbor and all seemed quite fitting. Perhaps you and Charlie were just bound to fall in love as easily as you guys did. Despite almost being from polar opposites backgrounds, you guys made it work and you were practically apart of the family after only a couple of months of dating Charlie.
So, it was no surprise when he came to you, saying his father wanted one last family trip and that the Bakers themselves requested your presence to be on the big family trip. And who were you to say no? You loved your boyfriend's family almost as much as you loved him.
But sharing you with his 11 siblings, one dog, and his two parents were all fond of you was sometimes more of a curse than a blessing to Charlie. He truly thinks loving you was in his family genes or something!
You giggled softly as your boyfriend guided you up the creaky small steps of the secluded spot for shade near the lake Charlie always passes by when he does his run.
"I missed you," he murmured, his hands immediately gravitating to your waist after he let go of your hand. He pulls you close gently with that pretty grin of his, showcasing his pearly whites as his blue eyes never left you.
You rolled your eyes playfully, sliding your hands up his chest. "I'm with you like all the time on this trip, Charlie," you mused, tilting your head with raised eyebrow. Your boyfriend scoffs, shaking his head.
"With me all the time? Baby, my family has never left your side since we got here!" His comment makes you let out a soft laugh, his heart fluttering at the sound of it. "I'm losing here," he chuckles, leaning in slightly.
But deep down, Charlie adores how you fit right in to his family. It was a dream come true for him.
