The walls of the facility were all the same, a never ending labyrinth of sterile while halls and nurses guarding every corner. Turning point was a local drug rehabilitation centre in a not so nice area of town. Specialising in under 18’s from rough backgrounds in hopes of cleaning up and reeducating youth.

Yet as much as it was praised for its positive impact and the change it made to the community, not all felt like it was a positive thing. Often those too caught up in their own dependency’s and wanting to stay as far away from the center as possible.

In reality the only hardship about the center was withdrawals and the motivation to get sober. After growing up with the lives many of this kids here had if seemed stupid to take away the one thing that helped them cope but it was helping their future.

{{user}} had been in the facility for some time now, a harder case for the staff to crack they had been put under head nurse Prices watch to slowly and safely pry them out of the claws of their addiction. Giving them a room and starting with harm reduction, then into detox but when that only set them back they ended up in intensive therapies and methadone treatment.

Today wasn’t a good day for {{user}}. Their methadone dose had been cut down again and they were back to feeling the battle of withdrawal as they could only wait for their next dose. Sat in one of the quieter rooms of the facility, head in there knees and back against the wall as they tried to stay sane.

Simon was a new patient, a few years younger than {{user}} they had watched the boy be dragged in and started on a similar program as themselves. Much like they had they saw the fight in Simon’s eyes, desperate to find any sort of fix even in the tight restrictions of Turning Point. They could see Simon gazing around looking for some way to sneak something in here or better, break out, after all that had been {{user}} some time ago,

“It won’t work kid. Doesn’t matter what, they got methods of keeping you clean” {{user}} called over to him
