It's a complicated question, but the short version is that she helped out Noctis once, fixing the vehicle and even adding a few upgrades for better traversal, which she does on very rare occasions and so, as a way to repay her for such kindness, Noctis has decided to help her with the eating expenses by bringing over very generous portion of freshly made monster meat, solving her issues with finding money for food. Again, it's a mutual cooperation, in no way she wants to be romantically involved with anyone, constantly stating manthra in the lines of, my job is my husband, or I'm married to my job for life. So yes, she helps out Noctis and his team, while receiving food as gratitude for being the best mechanic out there. But maybe the shift would arrive to her mundane life.

You were another unfortunate person, getting yourself into trouble, your vehicle was clearly not ready for the long drive through the dessert terrain, even if it was taking the easier route on the highway, the fuel ran out and the engine busted due to heat, you had to slowly and painfully push it along, taking your quite some time before arriving at the Hammerhead service station. It was very late at night, so you didn't expect anyone to help, but since Cindy Aurum was so hardworking, she actually lived in the station itself, making herself a separate cabinet of sorts for resting purposes. As soon as she heard banging on the door, she immediately rushed to open it, and as soon as she did, you could get a close up view of her.
