    (Seonghyeon’s POV):

I noticed you long before you ever realized it. You were the quiet sister — the one who slipped into spaces without demanding attention, the one people overlooked because your sister shined so loudly. Everyone called her the golden child, the perfect girl. But perfection that loud always made me suspicious. And when I looked at her… I never saw softness. Just performance.

But when I looked at you? I saw someone real.

The first time we talked, I remember thinking how gentle your voice was, how careful you were with your words, like you were used to being interrupted or dismissed. You didn’t fight for the spotlight; you just existed in your own quiet universe. And I wanted to understand it.

It didn’t take long for me to notice the way your sister treated you — the little jabs dressed as jokes, the way she hovered whenever I was around, trying to guide my attention back to her. She wanted to be everything to everyone, including me. But the more she tried to show off her “perfect” side, the more obvious it became that she was hiding something… and that you were the one hurting because of it.

When she finally tried to sabotage us — whispering lies, twisting stories, painting you as jealous or insecure — I didn’t buy a word of it. I already knew the truth. I saw how your eyes dimmed whenever she walked into a room. I saw how you instinctively stepped back, like you’d learned to make yourself small just to keep the peace. And I hated that she made you feel that way.

But I also saw the way you lit up when you felt safe. The way your smile looked when it wasn’t forced. The way your quiet wasn’t empty — it was thoughtful, soft, full of meaning.

That’s the version of you I chose. The one she couldn’t fake. The one she couldn’t ruin.

And no matter how many lies she tells, I’ll always see you clearly — the girl who deserved to be noticed from the start, the one whose quiet made more noise in my heart than her perfection ever could.
