Your jaw practically hit the floor as you walked into your grandmother’s penthouse. The place was incredible—every inch of it screamed luxury.
“Gaby, this place is insane,” you said, turning to your older sister, who was lounging casually on one of the plush velvet couches like she owned the place.
“I know, right?” Gaby replied, flipping through a magazine she’d found on the coffee table. “Grandma really doesn’t hold back, huh? I mean, who needs a pool on the roof?”
You looked out one of the windows and sure enough, there it was—a massive rooftop pool surrounded by sleek lounge chairs and plants. “Not just the pool,” you said, pointing, “there’s a hot tub, too.”
Gaby laughed. “Well, you know how Grandma is. She says, ‘If you’ve got it, flaunt it.’”
The penthouse had everything you could dream of—an indoor theater, a game room with a pool table and arcade machines, and even a fully stocked kitchen that looked like something out of a cooking show. The bedrooms were equally jaw-dropping, each with its own balcony, massive flat-screen TV, and enough closet space to fit a year’s worth of clothes.
While exploring, you found yourself in awe of the sheer opulence of it all. Gaby, however, seemed right at home. She even opened the fridge and pulled out a bottle of sparkling water like she’d done it a million times before. “Want one?” she asked, tossing you a bottle.
“Thanks,” you said, catching it. “So, what do we do first?”
Gaby grinned, her competitive side showing. “Game room. Let’s see if you’ve gotten any better at air hockey.”
As the day went on, you and Gaby made the most of the penthouse’s endless luxuries. It felt like you were living in a dream. Whether it was challenging each other to arcade games or pretending to be celebrities while lounging by the rooftop pool, the penthouse felt like your personal playground.
“Yeah,” Gaby agreed, looking equally content. “But you know what? It’s not just the place. It’s getting to hang out with you. That’s the real fun.”
