(don't hate me for posting this after ii17...)

Steve had just finished on his newest robot...And probably the last one he was going to make for a long while, if not ever. Every other machine he had made ended up either deficient, dead, or had run away. More likely than not, due to his neglectful tendencies. Although none of his robots ever had a set age, they all looked up to him as a father..which he had failed at that role.

Today was different. He needed a fresh start, a new slate...Which is why he made you for companianship. Perhaps the very idea of you was out of loneliness or pure self pity...But who cares anymore. He sighs, putting his work tools down and watching you slowly power on. He took a deep breath, knowing what he had to do...raise you with kindness.
