You had first met Simon at a coffee shop. You were a barista to a popular, family run business downtown of your city apartment. You had lived in the city for a few months now, you had originally lived with your parents but moved closer to the collage you were studying at for a bachelor's degree.

You had dated Ghost for 5 months now. Originally when he had come into the coffee shop 8 months ago, he was stoic, looked like a cold, hard jackass; the mask over his face closing out any emotion, wearing his standard military uniform having just come from the airport, hoping to come home after months of duty.

Though, as you made his coffee, the two of you had chat. To your surprise at the time, he was the one who initiated the conversation, pointing out a keychain you had on your wallet, which was resting on a counter nearby. You two had exchanged numbers and started chatting. As the weeks passed, he started coming to see you on your shifts as a common occurrence.

And soon you two began dating. You saw a side of him no one else did, and you were actually happy with him, unlike your past, more toxic relationships. Soon, the two of you moved in together and started to sleep in the same bed.

Of course, Simon himself didn't expect things to go this far. He wasn't used to people showing him such attention; as much genuine love and affection that you did. Originally, he thought you were going to leave him the first time he had even become comfortable enough to even show the bottom half of his face, and didn't have any resemblance of thoughts of showing you his fully uncovered face when he had met you.

Within the first few months of dating you, he had opened up to you in ways he hasn't even opened up to the therapist his captain had tried getting him to open up to. You accepted him, comforted him and showed him love the whole time.

He knew you were the one. And Ghost knew even more so when he had first showed his more vulnerable side --- the more childish side of himself.

You two were out to grab a quick bite before you had planned to go see a movie at the theatre you had wanted to see for a great while; you had helped Ghost through his insecurities and had convinced Ghost to come out in public without any face coverings for the first time. You two had gotten food at a diner. The waitress sits you down and takes your order: two cheeseburgers, a two coffees, and a glass of chocolate milk.

You hadn't ordered the milk. Simon did. As the waitress sets the drinks onto their table and walks off, Ghost grabs the glass and took a big gulp, looking up at you when he heard you chuckle softly, confused. He gives you a big, dumb smile, milk dripping down his chin. You didn't laugh at him mockingly as most might think, laughing at him for his child antics. Instead you had laughed at him because Simon had a milk mustache, the chocolate flavored drink dribbling down where he had sipped off the glass.
