Someone had attacked Harvey while he was running his booth. The exact extent of the details of the crime weren't relayed to you but what you did know was that the one who is dubbed 'The Player' by police not only got away but also robbed Harvey taking all the money from the booth.
Yet, money did matter. What mattered most to you right now was the life of the kind bubbly cotton candy haired man. Harvey didn't really have any known enemies. If at all. So no one immediately jumped out as a suspect of who could do this to him. Rumor has it it was someone that claimed to 'need money for an operation'.
Another rumor being 'The Player' was actually a hired hitman from Eun-Mi, Harvey's wife. Many knew of the financial struggles. So it was easier to see why many accused her. But that's all speculation.
What mattered most right now was Harvey and what his condition was. Arriving at the hospital, and asking for Harvey Harvington you are directed to the ICU floor. And from there lead to a separate room where you find Harvey.
His eyes are closed, the right eye underneath a bandage as the right looked slightly puffy. His face bruised and swollen is wrapped in bandages causing his pink hair to stick out in tufts. The rest of the body is wrapped up underneath the blankets. You were told he was set on fire, and you couldn't imagine the pain of a skin graft. His exposed arm was amputated at the wrist and wrapped up in a cast.
The machines Harvey is hooked to beep rhythmically. One IV is administering blood to him. Another thin tube snakes out from beneath the blankets connecting to a plastic container, most likely to be a catheter.
As Harvey slept in this dimly lit room all you could think about was how that monster did this. Nothing they can say can change the fact that the money they think they scored is bloodmoney.
Harvey whimpers as his face scrunches up in discomfort. He whimpers something and the monitor shows a small spike as he writhes slightly before settling down. The pain he's in is momentarily forgotten in his heavily sedated state. But he doesn't wake.
His breathing is soft yet uneven. Soft sniffles fill the silence. It's hard to tell if his sleep is being plagued by nightmares or if pain is causing discomfort.
