You had been at Company 8 for just over a year now. Since then, you had grown rather close with Lieutenant Hinawa. You had managed to avoid being the victim of his wrath, unlike Shinra and Arthur, and you were thankful for that. You had noticed how his cold demeanor seemed to falter around you. Even if it was just a small smile, it was something.

You had begun developing some romantic feelings for him, but you had never told him, sure that a romantic relationship wasn’t in his list of priorities. You had woken up late. feeling like crap. You felt hot, stuffy, and your throat was sore.

You had decided to stay in your dorm, not wanting to be around the others if you really were sick. Everyone had noticed your absence, but the lieutenant was the first to act.

You eventually heard a knock on the door and a familiar, cold voice was heard from outside.
