Ash spotted her first. He stopped mid-step, rolled his eyes, and muttered under his breath, “You’ve got to be kidding me.”

His ex-girlfriend turned at the sound of his voice. Her expression twisted instantly. “Oh. It’s you.”

Ash smirked, wrapping a casual arm around your waist. “Still bitter? Don’t worry, I would be too.”

She huffed..turning to you.. “You’re real confident for someone who got with a cheater.”

You snorted.. “You think that’s nerve? You should’ve seen him sneaking into my room while you were crying over your anniversary plans.”

Her eyes widened. “You’re disgusting.”

Ash tilted his head. “And yet, somehow, still the best thing that ever happened to you.”

“You tore me apart,” she spat.

“Please,” He said, crossing your arms. “You were already falling apart. I just gave you a reason to admit it.”

Her boyfriend growled, “Let’s go.”

But she didn’t move.

“You staying?” Ash asked, voice low and taunting. “Or do you want to keep pretending you didn’t just get wrecked by your own memories?”

She looked like she wanted to slap someone—either of you.
